Etta offers assessment and therapy services for children and young people experiencing speech, language, communication and learning difficulties, including neurodiverse communication profiles (ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia and Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).

 

Areas of support may include:

• Speech sound difficulties, including Childhood Apraxia of Speech (specialist area)

• Language delay and Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)

• Vocabulary, comprehension and narrative difficulties

• Reading and listening comprehension

• Stammering

• Selective mutism and Anxiety linked to communication

• Attention and listening difficulties

• Social communication difficulties

• Neurodiverse communication profiles, including children with or without diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD/ASC) or ADHD

• Difficulties accessing classroom learning

• Friendship and social interaction difficulties

• Emotional regulation linked to communication challenges

 

Assessments and therapy are tailored to the individual child and may include:

• Formal and informal assessment

• Liaison with parents and school staff

• Analysis of communication strengths and areas of need

• Practical recommendations for home and school

• Written reports and feedback

• Therapy planning and direct intervention

• Collaborative coaching and support for teachers, LSAs and SENCos
